One arrested on suspicion of affray as Watford police appeal for witnesses

Dear Resident

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an alleged affray in Watford and now police are appealing for information and witnesses.

It happened on Lammas Road at approximately 3.40pm on Sunday (30 March), where a group of males were reportedly seen exiting a blue car.

They allegedly chased another male in the direction of Watford Field Road before turning back, getting into the car and driving away.

A 17 year old male from Watford was later arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a class B drug (cannabis). He has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Mikey Logue, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “We have made one arrest in connection with this incident and are progressing our enquiries. However, due to the fact this incident happened in a high footfall area at a time when lots of people were around, we’re appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“We are keen to hear from you if you witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the Lammas Road, Watford Field Road or Cannon Road area around 3.40pm on Sunday. If you have any information, please contact us quoting reference 41/29558/25.”
